The AFTRAP consists of the interceptor unit, pilings and diversion booms. A typical system consists of the interceptor unit, 4-6 pilings, 2 rotating tide slide tracks and 2 tile slides. The price will vary according to the length and number of parts and boom used.

Determine the maximum water level variation, add 2 feet and that's the length of track you need. The boom needs to cross the stream on at least a 60 degree angle from the outside edge. The upstream piling is placed at the low water line or wherever you can make it fit. The short leg of boom goes from the nearshore side of the intercepter to the nearshore low-water line at least 25FT from the trap. The interceptor will float in about 12" of water and should be installed near enough to shore so that a mobile crane or back hoe can reach teh basket hoop easily. An open ton dump container should be positioned along the shore to receive the accumulated debris.
